What is PLA 3D Printing?

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is one of the most widely used materials in 3D printing due to its ease of use, biodegradability, and low cost.

This thermoplastic is ideal for applications such as prototypes, decorative parts, and elements that do not require high mechanical or thermal resistance. PLA is an eco-friendly material, as it is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch. Being biodegradable, it naturally decomposes under suitable conditions, making it a preferred option for those seeking to reduce their ecological footprint. However, it is important to note that while PLA is ideal for many applications, it is not suitable for environments that require significant thermal or mechanical resistance, which limits its use in certain industrial applications.
