Quality Control

How does manfacter manage quality control?

Manfacter applies rigorous processes to ensure the highest manufacturing standards for every part. This includes dimensional and visual inspections during and after production.
To guarantee quality, we work only with the best suppliers, use a manufacturer scoring system, provide clear quality control guidelines, and collaborate with external laboratories and inspection teams.

Do you have certifications?

Yes. If your project requires a specific certification (ISO, CE, etc.), you can request it directly through the platform by contacting us.
Our team will assign your order to manufacturers who operate under that certification and ensure that you receive all the corresponding documentation along with your parts.

Does the manufacturer handle quality control?

Yes, standard quality control is carried out on-site by the manufacturer.
For every order, partners must take photos of the parts and upload them to the platform before shipping.
External quality control labs can also be used to verify specific properties, such as material composition or dimensional accuracy, although this may involve an additional cost.

Can parts be produced with tight tolerances?

Yes. You can specify your tolerances and requirements when placing your order.
We have a network of qualified and specialized manufacturers capable of meeting these demands to ensure the precision and quality of your parts.

What about critical parts (aerospace, defense, medical, etc.)?

We work with manufacturers specialized in regulated industries. For these cases, we recommend attaching detailed technical specifications and requesting the necessary compliance certificates.

Orders

How do I place an order on manfacter?

Simply upload your 3D model to the platform. The system will generate an instant quote, and if you accept it, you can confirm the order and proceed with payment.

What file types can I upload?

We accept CAD and 3D model formats in .STL.

How is the order price calculated?

Our instant quoting engine estimates price and lead time based on geometry, material, volume, and part complexity.

Can I order a single part or large series?

Yes. We handle everything from one-off prototypes to full-scale production runs.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, we apply volume-based discounts, the more parts you order, the lower the unit price.
Our manufacturing network is optimized to handle both individual prototypes and large series, reducing costs and lead times as your production scales.

What happens after I confirm an order?

We automatically assign the most suitable manufacturer to produce your parts. From that point, you can track the manufacturing progress in the My Orders section of the platform.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, as long as production hasn’t started. Once manufacturing begins, cancellation is no longer possible.

How can I repeat a previous order?

Go to the My Orders section and click the 🔄 button next to the order you want to repeat.

Can I upload several models within the same project?

Yes. You can upload multiple 3D models at once within a single project and receive a global quote with individual pricing per part.
Just note that all models must belong to the same manufacturing process (e.g., different designs under 3D printing). Mixing technologies like CNC and 3D printing in the same order is not possible.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can order from a single part to large-scale series.

What if my file is invalid or damaged?

Don’t worry. At manfacter, we have in-house designers who can help repair or adjust your model to make it manufacturable.
If your file passes the quoting stage but an issue is detected during production preparation, we’ll notify you immediately so we can resolve it together before manufacturing begins.

Can I request a prototype before full production?

Yes. It’s common to validate a prototype before launching full production.
Just mention it in the comments for the specific part, and our team will take it into account when processing your order.

How are lead times managed if I order multiple parts?

The system automatically calculates lead times based on the complexity of each part and displays an estimated delivery date for the entire order.

What’s the difference between production time and delivery time?

The time shown on the platform refers to the estimated production process (manufacturing and preparation).
This may vary depending on the order’s complexity or the manufacturer’s workload.
Please note that this estimate does not include shipping time, which depends on the destination and selected carrier.

Shipping & Returns

Can I track my order?

Yes. You can track your order status in real time through the platform.
Once your order leaves our facility, you’ll also receive a tracking number from the carrier.
We’ll keep you updated throughout the entire process.

What are the delivery times?

From 48 hours for simple parts to several days or weeks for complex productions.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We currently ship across Europe and are progressively expanding to new markets.

What are the shipping costs?

They depend on volume, weight, and destination. Costs are automatically calculated when you confirm your order.

How does manfacter handle returns?

When a client submits a complaint or claim, manfacter’s production team investigates the case thoroughly.
A specialized manufacturing engineer, together with our quality control engineers, evaluates the issue to identify the cause.
After analysis, we provide a viable solution, always aiming to maintain long-term relationships and efficiently resolve any issue or concern related to your orders.
